Congratulations on your newest bundle of Joy!!
From one parent to another, welcome to the club.

Hi, I’m Susan!
I help parents of newborn parents as well as expecting parents go from exhausted and overwhelmed to confident and well-rested by working on laying the groundwork for healthy sleep habits from day one.

You’ve just brought your sweet baby home, and instead of soaking up the snuggles, you’re overwhelmed. You’re second-guessing nap times, stressing over nighttime wake-ups, and wondering if your baby is getting enough sleep. Everyone has an opinion - blogs, Tik Tok, family, friends and all it does is leave you more confused. Deep down, you’re scared you and your husband will never sleep again.

Does this sound familiar?
-
You’re running on empty. Rocking, bouncing, and feeding around the clock… yet your baby still fights sleep, and you’re terrified they’ll never settle in their bassinet by themselves.

-
You’re drowning in conflicting advice: one blog says never wake a sleeping baby, another says naps are non-negotiable and you’re left second-guessing every choice you make.

-
Every day feels like survival mode. Your baby’s naps are unpredictable, nights are all over the place, and you can’t tell if you’re doing anything “right”.

If any of this sounds like you, you’re not alone and you don’t have to struggle through it. Newborn babies ARE capable of sleeping well.

Imagine this instead…
-
Your newborn is able to sleep for 4-5 hour stretches overnight (as appropriate)

-
Your newborn is able to fall asleep in 15 minutes from being put into their crib or bassinet.

-
Your newborn’s day has a predictable rhythm where feeding, activity, and sleep are not competing with one another

-
You feel empowered, prepared, and supported whether you’re still pregnant or in those foggy first weeks at home.

What I do

The newborn stage doesn’t have to mean chaos and no sleep. I work closely with families by working on routines and healthy habits early so that this phase is manageable and so you can enjoy your baby, not be overwhelmed by him/her. I will be giving you the tools and coaching you while you will be giving your baby (and yourself) the gift of smoother, easier sleep down the road. This isn’t about rigid schedules or “training” a tiny baby, it’s about simple foundations that make life more peaceful for everyone. You will have me supporting you and your family in an ongoing basis until your baby is 12 weeks old.
This is for you if…

-
You’re expecting or in the newborn stage and want to lay a healthy foundation for sleep.

-
You want to be confident in your parenting and not rely on piecing piecing together advice from books, blogs, and relatives.

-
You want to feel more confident in understanding when to know if your baby is tired vs hungry and how to have your baby fall asleep within 15 minutes

-
You want routines and guidance that not only support your little one but also fit your family’s rhythm bringing predictability to the chaos of early days without locking you into rigid schedules.
This is not for you if…

-
You’re looking for formal “sleep training” methods—babies under 12 weeks are not ready for that.

-
You want a strict schedule to follow minute by minute (this stage is about flexibility).

-
You’re not open to small adjustments in routines or environments that make a big difference.

-
You are co-sleeping and you want to continue to cosleep
When your baby is 12 weeks, they will be sleeping well - falling asleep on their own in their own sleeping space, and taking great naps. You will be well rested and have the energy to enjoy your baby and do the things you enjoy.

I know you’re ready to stop feeling anxious and exhausted and start feeling supported and confident. The Newborn Sleep Foundations Package is for you!
The Newborn Sleep Foundations Program

The Newborn Program is designed for:
Expecting Parents - Set yourself up for success before your baby even arrives.
You’ll go into those first weeks with a clear plan and peace of mind.
Newborn Families (0–12 weeks) - If you’re in the trenches of sleepless nights and
unpredictable naps, this package will help you create calm and consistency.

The program includes:

If we begin a plan together before your baby is 10 weeks old, I will support you until your child is 12 weeks old. If we begin working together when your baby is 10 weeks old, we will work together for 2 weeks until your child is 12 weeks old and you have the option to enroll in the Hybrid plan (contact me for more details).

So, what’s next? Let’s get you started!

Step 1: Schedule an evaluation call
We’ll start with a 15-minute call so I can learn more about you, your baby, and your goals. This also gives us a chance to see if my newborn support package is the right fit for your family. Once you book, we’ll schedule our plan walk through.
Step 2: Complete Your Questionnaire
You’ll fill out a short questionnaire that helps me understand your baby’s current feeding and sleep patterns. This gives me a clear picture of what’s going on so I know how to support your family. I use this information to create your child’s sleep plan.
Step 3: Our Session Together
We’ll meet virtually for about 45-60 minutes. During this time, I’ll get to know you and your little one, walk through your questions and concerns, and guide you in setting up realistic routines and healthy sleep foundations for your newborn.
Step 4: Get Sleep
You’ll begin practicing the routines and strategies we discuss—things like calming bedtime rituals, soothing techniques, and setting up an environment that supports better rest for the whole family. During our work together, we will discuss and make changes as necessary ensuring we make progress towards our goals based on how your child is responding. We will work together until your baby is 12 weeks old.

Step 5: Ongoing Coaching
As you start introducing these strategies, you’ll have my ongoing support. I’ll check in with you through an interactive sleep log, email, and through phone calls so you feel confident every step of the way. By the end of our time together, you’ll feel more rested, more reassured, and equipped with tools to help your baby grow into healthy sleep habits from the very beginning.
How long will we work together?
We will work together until your baby is 12 weeks old.

How often can I email you?
You can email me as many times as you need to!

Does my partner or spouse need to be involved in this?
Ideally, yes. This is so that your baby understand you are a team and do the same thing. It can be done solo if necessary.

Do you help with lactation and feeding support?
I offer basic feeding assistance and support on how to schedule and structure your feeds. However if you have specific feeding needs, I recommend contacting a lactation consultant.

Will my baby be sleeping through the night?
Sleeping through the night is not our goal with newborns. Your baby will be able to sleep for longer stretches at night and in some cases as your baby begins to transition out of the newborn age (around 10-12 weeks), some babies do begin sleeping through the night. There are many factors that play into this.

Can you come to my house and help us?
If you live in the DMV area, yes! I do offer in-home services. Please see the In-Home Support page or contact me for details.

Do you use the cry-it-out method?
No. In fact, the work I do with newborns is not officially sleep training. While we will use appropriate sleep strategies to encourage your newborn to fall asleep on their own, our work will primarily focus on establishing healthy sleep habits and routines.

How do you charge for twins and multiples?
It is only an additional $50 per multiple.

What happens if my baby hasn’t met our sleep goals when they turn 12 weeks?
Because the expectations for newborns differ from older infants and understanding that sleeping through the night is not the expectations, most families are thrilled with the success their baby was able to achieve in our time together - most becoming amazing sleepers (some 12 week old babies even sleeping through the night and taking 60+ minute naps) for such a little person. On our final call, we will review how your baby has progressed and celebrate the goals they met. If there is remaining work that you would like to see that is age appropriate, we can discuss what that may look like and, if desired, we can add on additional time together for an additional fee.
