MONDAY 18TH
Somebody forgot to tell someone that Fashion Week is over! Louis Vuitton, who has the distinction of having his bags ripped off the most on Canal Street, throws a party for author Susan Tabak for Chic In Paris: Style Secrets & Best addresses. First we learn that they don't get fat, and now we have to hear all about where they buy soap? Sacre bleu! Moving on, screenwriter Joe Eszterhas (Showgirls) pops up at the Borders at the Time Warner Center for a reading of The Devil's Guide to Hollywood: The Screenwriter as God. Remember, this is the man who told us "star" is "rats" spelled backwards, O.K.? Speaking of which, those glittery rats will be on the red carpet tonight for the premiere of A guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Expect Channing Tatum, Shia LaBeouf and Mr. and Mrs. Sting (who produced the flick) outside the Chelsea West Cinemans and partying at Eugene afterward. Lastly, Grey Gardens' Christine Ebersole performs for one night only at New World Stages for a benefit concert for the Actors' Fund of America.
