Author of Chic in Paris Presents a Paris Fashion Week Review
Fashion week in Paris is an event that must be experienced by anyone
that lives for fashion and loves French style. In my opinion it is the
most exciting and glamorous fashion week in the world, and brings the
beautiful city of Paris alive with the bustle of international media,
models racing between shows, and the crème de la crème of socialites
from around the world.
Never one to miss out on the excitement, I
travel to Paris for every fashion week, from Fall Haute Couture to
Spring Pret-a-Porter, to watch the shows, attend fabulous parties, and
visit with fashionable friends from a round the globe. Although at
times this action packed week can be a little hectic, the rush of
seeing the freshest fashions and fabulous faces is more than worth
worthwhile.
As a friend to many of the designers showing their latest
collections, I am privy to exclusive events and backstage fashion news
unknown to even those sitting in the front row of the most popular
shows. As not everyone is able to be in Paris to catch all the
excitement, I disclose everything in my Paris Fashion Week Review,
which fills fashion lovers in on my favorite shows, the best looks of
the season, the stylishly chic people I meet, and the amazing parties
I attend. Although not everyone can personally experience Paris
fashion week as I do, my review ensures that those who dream about one
day attending can look as if they sat front row for the entire week.
As I prepare for the Spring/Summer Haute Couture fashion week in Paris this up coming January, I remember back to the Fall/Winter Pret-a-Porter shows I attended last October and feel as though it could not come quick enough. Although I love Paris’ Pret-a-Porter fashion week, it is the magical fashion week of haute couture that I would have to say I look the most forward to, as it is truly an experience that brings dreams to life. With so many spectacular parties to look forward to and outrageously elaborate collections to view, it is sure to be one of the most exciting weeks of my entire year. Of the shows that I will be attending, I would have to say I am most excited for Christian Dior, as it is my dream to have John Galliano create for me a custom couture dress, and Chanel because Karl Lagerfeld’s ability to reinvent ageless and timeless classics every season speak to his true genius. Of course along with the fashion I will be covering everything from fabulous parties, the best boutiques, hot new restaurants, and style secrets revealed backstage or in the VIP room. My Paris fashion week review combines chic people and fabulous places with the premier fashions on display, as it is truly the entire package that makes Paris fashion week the most famously watched in the fashion world.
