Paris Personal Shopper

Chic Shops in Paris Susan Recommends

Throughout my many years of shopping the streets of Paris, I have discovered the city’s hidden treasures in the form of innovative ateliers, off the beaten path boutiques, and hot new designer labels. It is this long list of Chic Shops in Paris, and the relationships I have with the sales staff and owners, that has attracted clients from around the world to shop with me as their PARIS PERSONAL SHOPPER. As not everyone who visits Paris can shop with me, from a labor of love I created my book, Chic In Paris, to act as a city guide pointing out all the must shop locations while unveiling the French fashion enigma.

For the millions of women who suffer from Paris envy I have quickly summarized some of my favorite chic shops of the city. My book contains hundreds of famous Parisian boutiques and designer studios that I have discovered through fashion insider connections and multiple years of shopping at the best boutiques. In addition to my favorite addresses, the eight women interviewed for the book also disclose their favorite shops, staple designer labels, styles, and how to mix and match pieces, which is incredibly Parisian. Here is a little taste of the best addresses in the world’s most beautiful city.

If you are looking to shop for high fashion and famous designer names, look no further than Avenue Montaigne, which is home to such designers as Christian Dior, Chanel, Celine, Chloé, Valentino, and the list goes on. However, for a more eclectic shopping experience, I would suggest the boutiques on rue du fauboug Saint Honore, such as Colette for its revolutionary design and presentation, Comme des Garcon for Japanese-inspired color mixed with classic cuts, and Lydia Courteille for her mysterious jewelry that takes inspiration from diverse elements and is distinctly feminine. Also located on the same street is the newly renovated Hermès flagship store, which is a shopping dream and houses everything Hermès, from the famous silk scarves to English riding saddles. Finally, what shopping trip would be complete without finding the perfect shoe? I would suggest shopping at Roger Vivier or the famously French Christian Louboutin, both of which are chic shops in Paris that design fabulously fashionable footwear and can be found on the rue de Grenelle.
