Susan Tabak is a noted style expert, the author of Chic In Paris: Style Secrets & Best Addresses and publisher of the popular fashion and lifestyle website SusanTabak.com (formerly chicinparis.com).
Susan has been attending Paris’s runway shows for a decade. In 2001 she launched Paris Personal Shopper, providing customized shopping excursions in Paris for an international client roster. Her high-end, high-touch service captured the attention of the fashion and mainstream press, and she was written about in The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Departures Magazine, and the Hollywood Reporter. Women’s Wear Daily said of her, “Tabak’s taste is impeccable, her connections next to impossible and her expectations high.”
In 2006 Susan published Chic in Paris: Style Secrets & Best Addresses as a calling card for her shopping business. A collection of interviews with eight Parisian women, each known and admired for her unique sense of style, the book immediately received accolades from the fashion press and became a product in its own right. Without any formal public relations effort, the book hit Harper’s Bazaar Hot List and was featured in Women’s Wear Daily, Elle Magazine, The Fashion Daily, The New York Post, The New York Sun, style.com, L’Officiel, Madame Figaro, Vogue Brazil and Vogue Germany, among others. The book sold over 8,300 copies in North America and Europe.
Susan launched chicinparis.com in early 2007 to connect with her readers in real-time and to share her perspectives on runway shows, travel, life in New York, Paris and beyond. Readership has grown steadily over time, and in November 2008 she engaged a Editor and Contributing Writer to increase the frequency and scope of her posts. In January 2009, Susan was one of the first fashion bloggers to begin “Twittering” her front-row impressions from the Haute Couture shows, and in April 2009 The Times of London named her the #1 Fashion Twitterer, noting that she “puts her contemporaries to shame on Twitter.”
Susan is an engaging, accessible personality, who is now building a comprehensive lifestyle brand, inspiring individuals to live well and to discover their own personal style. Susan lives in New York with her family.
